A number of years ago several members of St.Andrew’s were also members of Renfrew, having lived in those areas before coming to Ottawa. They encouraged both of the Lodges to begin an exchange visit each year and at each, they exchanged a gavel that separates, but together they make a whole. Each of us is never whole until we are brought together to renew and strengthen our friendship.

Over the years those original members have passed on but the practice is continued, in their memory, but now to make new friends whom we enjoy meeting together. Also, it should be noted that in 1979 when we were separated from each other when the Ottawa District was divided into Ottawa 1 and Ottawa 2. It was decided that we needed to maintain the old Masonic tie between us.

A light meal will be served after the meeting.
