December Regular Meeting: Candlelight reading of The Old Charges

Join us for an evening of light, tradition, and fellowship as we welcome R.W. Bro. Abraham Garcia, District Deputy Grand Master for Ottawa District 1, on his Official Visit to St. Andrew’s Lodge No. 560.
Candlelight Reading of the Old Charges
The evening will feature our annual Candlelight Reading of the Old Charges, a cherished St. Andrew’s tradition held once a year to honour the heritage and moral foundations of Freemasonry.
According to our Constitution, these Charges are to be read to all newly made Masons, and we present them in a solemn candlelit setting that transforms the experience into a memorable celebration of our Craft’s ancient customs.
Festive Board — 6:00 p.m.
Begin the evening with our traditional roast beef buffet dinner and enjoy the fellowship of visiting Brethren before Lodge is opened.
Work of the Night (First Part) — 7:00 p.m.
The first part of our Lodge work will include:
- Opening the Lodge
- Reception of the District Deputy Grand Master on his Official Visit
- Conducting essential business
- Calling off the Lodge
Candlelight Reading of the Old Charges — 8:00 p.m.
Following a brief recess, the Lodge will be called on for the Candlelight Reading of the Old Charges, a cherished St. Andrew’s tradition held once a year to honour the heritage and moral foundations of Freemasonry.

All Masons are welcome to attend the meeting.
Please note that RSVP is required for the Festive Board due to limited seating.
