On February 24, 2026, our beloved Right Worshipful Brother the Reverend M. John Moor laid down his tools. He passed peacefully and in the presence of his family and friends. Our sincere condolences to Sharon, his wife of 61 years, and to all of the family.
John was a pillar of our lodge, among other things having held the position of Secretary for nearly three decades. He was what we would describe as a highly accomplished mason, holding Grand rank in several bodies in both the York and Scottish Rites as well as being a Shriner. He will be missed but those who knew him are those of us who did are grateful for his presence in our lives.
A masonic service for John will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa K2P 1A2. Members of the lodge are summoned and masons are invited. Lodge regalia to be worn. Dress is a dark suit.
