Congratulations are in order!!!

It has been a while since we have updated our lodge news; however, we have not been idle.  Since the beginning of the 2026 calendar year, St. Andrew’s lodge has Initiated, one Brother, Passed two Brothers, Raised one Brother, and seen another Brother Prove Up.  Congratulations to the Brethren on their achievements, and especially to brother Fred, who has been waiting some time to join our fraternity.  Welcome all, and congratulations on your achievements.  Many thanks to those brethren performing ritual for the various degrees, leading our mentoring sessions, keeping us fed and assisting us in many ways with the workings of our lodge.

In February we held our lodge’s annual Burns Dinner.  As you know, the famous and beloved Scottish poet Robert Burns was a bit of a rogue, but he was also a committed Freemason.  Burns published many poems on the subject, as well as the song, A Man is a Man.  Congratulations to the organisers of a wonderful evening.

St. Andrew’s is a working lodge.  We meet formally once a month, and sometimes a second time if we have a particular piece of business to conduct.  We hold our business meetings (normally online) once a month.  We do mentoring, rehearsals and informal get-togethers.  We are a busy lodge.  As they say, many hands make light work, so thank you to everyone for the work you do.  We are all extremely grateful.

Looking forward, our degree work is nearly finished for the year.  Elections are in May, Installation is in June, and we break for the months of July and August.  Despite this, we’ll still be gathering socially, we have our lodge charity to support and many of us are up for a fraternal meet when the opportunity presents itself.

Hope to see you in lodge!
