October Regular Meeting: Bifurcated Gavel Ceremony
Join us for the upcoming Regular Meeting of St. Andrew’s Lodge No. 560 as we welcome the Brethren of Renfrew Lodge No. 122 for the annual Bifurcated Gavel Ceremony, a longstanding tradition celebrating the friendship and fraternal bond between our two Lodges.
The Bifurcated Gavel Ceremony dates back to the 1960s, when members of the two Lodges who worked together at Ontario Hydro maintained their Masonic connections after relocating and affiliating with their new Lodges. The tradition has continued on a reciprocal basis as an expression of friendship, fellowship, and mutual support between St. Andrew’s Lodge and Renfrew Lodge.
Gather for Fellowship: Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Brethren are invited to gather, reconnect with old friends, welcome visitors, and enjoy the fellowship that lies at the heart of this special evening.
Festive Board: Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m., bringing the Brethren of both Lodges together before the meeting. The Festive Board is free for visitors. A donation of $10.00 toward the dinner and the J.W.’s Fund will be thankfully received and faithfully applied.
Bifurcated Gavel Ceremony: Lodge will open at 7:30 p.m.. The principal feature of the evening will be the continuation of the Bifurcated Gavel tradition between St. Andrew’s Lodge No. 560 and Renfrew Lodge No. 122, commemorating a relationship that has endured for more than six decades.
R.S.V.P.: To assist with the arrangements for the Festive Board, Brethren intending to attend are kindly requested to confirm their attendance with the Junior Warden at rsvp@standrews560.com.
