Another year has come and gone. Our Worshipful Master will be returning for the coming year with a new slate of officers. Congratulations to all who have stepped up into important positions in the lodge, and many thanks to all for their contributions to making our year a memorable one. It takes many hands to take care of the catering, setting up and tearing down the lodge each month, managing our books and administration, mentoring and the myriad of other things that need to get done each year. You should all be thanked for having made our lodge one in which we can be proud.
Next year is looking like a busy one. We have a couple of candidates in the pipeline, and a number of brethren working through their degrees. Our mentoring program is proceeding apace. Our Master’s trestle board is filling up nicely so we should all be looking forward to our first meeting in September.
In the mean time, our annual communication is on the horizon, and also the annual Beechwood masonic memorial service (21 June, 2:00 PM at Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa). We should also think about a summer barbecue and perhaps a tailgate party over the course of the Summer months.
A final note to those contemplating joining our gentle Craft. For the first time in many years, we do not have a waiting list of potential candidates to join our lodge. If you have an interest in freemasonry, please consider our lodge as an option.
See you all on September 3rd, 2026 at 7:30 PM for our first monthly meeting of the new masonic year.
