Another Masonic year has come and gone. As we look ahead, our Worshipful Master will return for the coming year with a new slate of officers.
First, congratulations to all who have stepped into important positions in the Lodge. Also, thank you to everyone who helped make this year a memorable one.
A Lodge depends on many hands. Each month, Brethren help with catering, setting up, closing down, managing the books, handling administration, mentoring, and many other important tasks. Because of that steady work, St. Andrew’s continues to be a Lodge of which we can all be proud.
The coming year already looks busy. For example, we have a couple of candidates in the pipeline and several Brethren working through their degrees. In addition, our mentoring program continues to move forward, and the Master’s trestle board is filling up nicely. Therefore, we can all look forward to our first meeting in September.
In the meantime, our Annual Communication is approaching. Also, the annual Beechwood Masonic Memorial Service will take place on June 21 at 2:00 PM at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa. Over the summer, we should also consider holding a barbecue and perhaps a tailgate party.
Finally, a note to those who may be thinking about joining our gentle Craft: for the first time in many years, we do not have a waiting list of potential candidates. Therefore, if you have an interest in Freemasonry, we invite you to consider St. Andrew’s Lodge.
We look forward to seeing you on September 3, 2026, at 7:30 PM for our first monthly meeting of the new Masonic year.
